Note: I replace my good little scissors with a pair of cheap ones from the local dollar shop, in case they are taken by airport security.  I also keep extra needles in my suitcase, bringing onboard only two or three.

I use this folding carpenter’s ruler when measuring the width and length of quilts. Read A Few Words about Rulers which equals easier sewing and less fighting with your tools.
