Before I descend into cooking and cleaning and more cooking and a bunch of dishes and family for Christmas, I thought I’d post all the pineapple blocks together. This is a combined effort of the Always Bee Learning Bee, the Mid-Century Modern Bee, plus a few I whipped up too. I took the papers off the remaining three tonight while watching How To Train Your Dragon 2 (amazing animation), and now I need to vacuum the family room again. I have more things to add to this quilt, and hope to be working on it over the break. But then again, my life may be like yours, full and lots of the things from the first sentence of this post!
This just landed in my inbox. So pretty!! I’m happy my block is in there somewhere : )
Don’t they look beautiful together! This is going to be such a fun quilt! Merry Christmas Elizabeth- have fun!
That is so pretty. Yep, crazy week here too. Merry Christmas.
It is so amazing already Elizabeth! Merry Christmas!
Nice! The white prints seem to dance across it.
Lovely all together! I’ve already descended into baking and cleaning. Hopefully a little sewing at the beginning of the week. Train dragon 2 will be showing up Christmas morning.
Oh it looks so lively and happy. I feel so bad about my block getting bit messed up. Can you still use it? Have a Merry Merry and a Happy Happy!!!
This is smashing, Elizabeth! Glad you found a few moments for sewing before chaos reigns in your house. It’s a good kind of chaos though, I know. Have a fabulous time with family, and a blessed merry Christmas.
It’s going to be just awesome!! Loved seeing then all together.
These are beautiful! Don’t overdo for Christmas. Enjoy your family. Be blessed!
A pineapple quilt is on my “to do” list for someday. Yours is really inspirational. It’s nice to see one in brighter colors — so many of them are dark, particularly the older traditional ones.
Lots of papers to peel, though. I used newspaper as a foundation for I don’t know how many crazy blocks many years ago. Next time I’ll get smart and use muslin or yucky fabric.
Beautiful pineapple quilt! I have made only one pineapple quiltand used Anita Solomon Grossmans method, it was really fun!
These are so pretty! I love the fresh solids against the prints (or selvedges?) Such a great combo. Merry Christmas!
This is going to be a spectacular quilt!! Great idea to combine the two bees. I enjoyed making your pineapple block and am so proud to play a part in your masterpieces!
